What is a Photovoltaic System?
Photovoltaic Systems provide electrical energy from sunlight. They're often referred to as Solar Panels or PV panels and are a very cost effective way of generating electricity. A PV system has a very efficient life span of more than 25 years and pays for itself with savings from your electricity bill in approximately 4 to 6 years.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?​
Qualified electricians who are working in the industry and wanting to make a change to their current job or those just wishing to add an additional, very lucrative, income stream to their current portfolio of work would benefit from taking the Solar PV Course. This course would be great for upselling EV Charging Installations to give customers that peace of mind of having additional free energy to charge their electric vehicles. Customers that buy PV charging systems often buy battery storage systems too. This gives them a way to store any additional energy that they generate. The energy would otherwise be wasted.

WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS COURSE?

The PV Installer course in Birmingham is designed for people who are qualified electricians working in the industry. They should already hold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification and an Inspection and Testing qualification
​
You will be asked to provide copies of certificates by email to the Training Centre.
​
HOW LONG IS THE SOLAR PV COURSE?
​
The PV Installers Course is three days long, however candidates would do well to pre-read the PV Installers Course notes prior to attending.

This 3 day solar panel installers course held in Birmingham is accredited by Bpec certification. The following elements are covered:

The above elements will ensure you know how to size and safely install a PV system to meet your customers needs and enable them to make savings on their energy bills.

MCS REGISTRATION
​
The Bpec 3 day PV Installers course
meets the Minimum Technical Competency document for PV installers and is recognised by the MCS operators as evidence of suitable training.
